Angela and Brian are a blended family with 5 girls. The youngest, 18 months, just moved into her sister’s room who left for university. Angela and Brian now want to make their master bedroom into an adult sanctuary.

Space planning was their biggest challenge with three doors and three windows to contend with. See before picture above.

A darker wall colour will make the room feel cozy and wallpaper behind the bed will create a feature wall. Roman blinds and an upholstered headboard and bench will add softness to the space.

A new chandelier and table lamps will add some glam, and a dimmer switch will add atmosphere.

An electric wall-mount fireplace will give the room a focal point. The addition of a seating area in front of a fireplace will make the master suite an adult sanctuary for the parents to relax, either in front of a fire with a glass of wine or curled up with a good book.

Comment from client...

Thank you so much for designing an adult sanctuary in our master bedroom.  We found the process very easy.  I appreciate that you took the time to ask questions, clarify any comments that we made, and collaborated with us to ensure you were providing a design and room that met our needs.

You laid out the information, work to be performed, and items to be purchased clearly which helped us to decide what we could do on our own and where we needed to get professional services.  It is a great option for people who either want to do the work themselves or to hire someone.  I would definitely recommend Pam Stewart Ross Design to my friends and family.  I already have a few rooms in mind that I may need some more assistance with!
